Cormorant
has provided services to the offshore oil and gas, petroleum distribution,
mining, and pulp and paper industries. Mr. Dempsey also has experience in surveying, salvage
operations, and construction. Areas
in which Cormorant has been particularly active include: marine oil spill
response (management, planning, and operations); physical, chemical, and
biological environmental monitoring; and marine operational services.
The combination of applicable marine scientific and technological
experience along with a long history of successful field operations gives
Cormorant a particularly useful perspective to each of these areas.
Cormorant
remains a small company in itself but has the capability to participate in
larger programs through strong alliances with other small Canadian
marine-oriented companies with similar or complementary skills. Cormorant
personnel have a combined expertise which spans marine biology, physical
oceanography, marine weather, coastal geomorphology, coastal mapping, and
instrumentation applications. The
